New Hampshire digital marketing veteran Jason Boucher brings his passion for engagement to the forefront of social media strategy. Currently, Jason serves as the Director of Social Marketing at Cookson Communications in Manchester, NH. Previously, he spearheaded social media initiatives at the University of New Hampshire, establishing himself as a leader in the higher education space. His expertise extends across the digital marketing spectrum, encompassing social media optimization (SMO), social media marketing (SMM), and search engine optimization (SEO). A sought-after speaker, he’s shared his insights at numerous social media and higher education conferences across the U.S. between 2013 and 2021. His commitment to social media dates back to the early days of Facebook and Twitter when he helped manage the NH chapter of the Social Media Club. He thrives on crafting compelling content and witnessing campaigns blossom into reality.
Nocturnal Radio: Curating the Soundtrack to Your Nights
When he’s not navigating the digital landscape, Jason dives deep into his lifelong love of music. A dedicated vinyl collector, he curates playlists with Le Sirop for Spotify and Apple Music and currently hosts Nocturnal Radio, a bi-monthly streaming program on Mixcloud. This passion extends back to his college days when he first took to the airwaves at 91.3 FM WUNH. Throughout his career, he’s graced the airwaves of community radio stations like WSCA and guest-starred on international platforms like Noods Radio UK and Soundwaves. An advocate for all genres, Jason holds a special place in his heart for modern jazz, new wave, punk, indie rock, and the Grateful Dead. His love affair with music began at the tender age of seven, with a weekly ritual of purchasing a new LP with his dad, complete with Maxell UR-90s for recording (one for his Sanyo boombox, the other for his dad’s truck).
Jason’s passion for crate-digging continues to this day. He maintains an online record store on Discogs, meticulously curating a collection of vinyl and CDs that reflects his eclectic taste. He brings a unique blend of digital expertise and creative energy to everything he does.
“Having a social media presence in higher education is a given but have you wondered who got those platforms started on college campuses? At UNH, it was Jason Boucher. Back when there was just Facebook and Twitter, Jason understood the importance and future of social media for attracting and retaining students and employees to higher education. Using his skills of intellect, creativity, teamwork, and ingenuity, Jason set to work putting his vision for social media at UNH into action. It’s because of Jason’s leadership that UNH has a team of staff and student interns to curate a thriving social media presence and voice that is authentic to our campus community.”

“Jason has been involved as a speaker for the past several years at the Social Media Strategies Summit for Higher Ed that I organize. His presentations are insightful and highly-rated by our attendees, and he’s always flexible to adapt his speaking topics to the needs of the event programming. He’s been an awesome event partner that I know I can rely on to support the event in any way possible! I look forward to continuing collaborating with him. Highly recommend inviting Jason to speak at your next event.”
• Breanna Jacobs, Global Strategic Management Institute (Social Media Strategies Summit)
“Jason has served in what I consider to be one of the stage managers of the conference space — as a track chair. This, to me, is the most important role during the time of the actual event and I can’t imagine eduWeb without him. He has used his expertise in higher education, digital media, and marketing to serve as a leader both for the conference and the industry. He has also been the ultimate team player — willing to take on any role including support roles in helping manage additional events that we run.
I have also had the opportunity to see and work with Jason as a presenter — an area in which he excels. I am grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to work with Jason and believe anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their organization.”
